Launch of Report on Torture:

ACTV  launched a report, "The Nature of Torture in Uganda" on Wednesday 25 May 2011 at Hotel African from 9-11 am. This is a study conducted on the forms of torutre, its impact and cost on individuals and society in selected districts in Central and Northern Uganda. The report was launched by the Chairperson Uganda Human Rights Commission Mr Meddie Kaggwa in the presence of national and international Human Rights Activists.

Every June 26, the world recognises the international day against torture. ACTV and partners shall be commemorating this day with a series of events.
